The Team and Our Service

The Winnipeg Free Press, Winnipeg's leading daily Newspaper publisher has billed us as the "Dynamic Duo", when it comes to buying and selling homes. We have 14 years of experience in the real estate market and know how to put that experience for you.

Two Makes the Difference

You benefit from the power of two agents working for you:

  • double the contacts to sell and find your home
  • double the availability, making sure we are there for you
  • double the knowledge and research, we are able to check new listings several times a day.

Real Estate Agents 'Click'; Dynamic duo is born.

From Winnipeg Free Press Article, written by Tracey Bryksa.

It's not often you meet someone that you just click with. But that's what happened four years ago when Christine James and Ellie Rosenblat met. The two real estate agents decided to team up and work as partners instead of competitors.

Personality-wise, we really worked well together," says Rosenblat. "We just clicked - both professionally and as friends."

Both women entered the real estate business at about the same time 13 years ago. James wanted a career with flexibility so she could be around for her young children. She and her husband had moved several times and she developed a keen awareness of the real estate market. Rosenblat, who was working as a reading clinician, wanted to change professions. She decided to try selling homes because she really enjoyed working with people.

And neither has looked back. Starting out as single agents working on their own, they both eventually wound up working as associates for the same real estate agent. That's where they met and joined forces.

"We worked so well together that we decided to form a team," Rosenblat says.

The duo worked as a team for BMD Real Estate / Better Homes and Gardens for three years. When that agency closed, they joined Royal LePage in December. Although they tend to sell a lot of houses in the south end of city and most of their business has been in moderate to higher end homes, they do sell a bit of everything.

Rosenblat says there are many advantages to working as a team. Not only is their client base much larger, having worked independently for many years, they also have different ideas and perspectives that they put together to fine-tune their marketing plans.

"Two heads are definitely better than one," says Rosenblat.

As a team, James says they also provide consistency for their clients. When one of them gets a new client, they immediately introduce the client to the other. They both know their clients so well that when one is away, the other can just take over. They know each other's listings as if they were their own.

There is never any interruption in service," James says. "One of us is always there for our clients."

Consistently amoung the top producers, the pair says their partnership is getting stronger the more they work together. With a really tight real estate market and not enough houses for the number of buyers, James says as a team they've been able to keep on top of the new listings, which often sell the very day they go up.

"We're both on the computer several times a day," she says. "That way we're not missing anything."

The biggest advantage of working as a team is giving their clients better customer service, Rosenblat notes. She says you can do a lot more with two agents, from having more open houses to accommodating more showings to spending more time with each buyer.

"Most clients are very pleased with the team approach," she says.

Fellow real estate agents have also been impressed with their approach. Because the team is a relatively new concept in real estate, James says they've had a number of calls from people who are interested in forming their own team. She says they always want to know how it's been working out.

"You really need two very compatible people who are both willing to work, she explains. "We all have our ups and downs but we work around that."

"It's almost like a marriage," Rosenblat adds with a laugh.

Did you know that not all houses are listed on the multiple listing service? There is close to a 10% hidden home market.
